To start the new year off on the right foot, I decided that I’d participate in I ❤ to Run’s #100DaysOfMiles. The rules are fairly simple:
#1 NEVER GO 3 DAYS WITHOUT RUNNING
#2 RUN AT LEAST 3 DAYS A WEEK
#3 NEVER MISS A MONDAY
#4 NEVER GIVE UP!
So this is what I’ve got in the first week of the New Year:
Jan 1, Jan 2, Jan 4, Jan 5, Jan 6 – I ran.
Jan 9, Jan 10, Jan 11, Jan 12, Jan 14 – I ran.
Jan 7, Jan 8, Jan 13, Jan 15 & Jan 16 – I walked or did other cross training.
I must admit, it’s been quite a while since I pushed myself to do that much running in one week, but it felt kind of awesome as well. For those of you not currently in Alberta, about 85% of these runs were done during a cold snap (-18, but felt like -30 with windchill.) It was brutally cold. Actually, one day I was running through a storm – I felt really hardcore (even though I was barely moving.)
Hoping to continue blogging more (I just need to make the time!)
