Life has been very, very busy. In an effort to use my time wisely (as in, get as much done as possible) for the time being I’m just going to stick to quick updates.
My son and I had a great run last Tuesday at Glenmore Park – we did 6km. It is really incredible that he can exercise and not sweat (hah!) On Wednesday I headed back to the park to do a quick 3 mile run – the weather was great and I really enjoyed it. Thursday I did another 5km run. Finally, yesterday I hit Fish Creek park to do a 5km later in the day than I expected and it actually wasn’t too bad. And finally, today, Felix and I hit the trail again for another 5km run together. A couple things that made running better: (1) the sun shining and (2) Felix yelling, “go mom!”
I must admit that the runs through Fish Creek park were a little sad. The trail I trained a lot on for my first half is destroyed by the river. There are places where the pavement was physically lifted and moved to the side. I found it incredibly surreal..
Anyway, attaching some pictures! Next Saturday is the big MUD HERO event in Red Deer. I am terrified!!!!!!! And excited…!!!!!!
