This weekend is a busy one, so I decided to do my long run this morning so that I could get it out of the way. I got out the door just before 9 and hit the trail. It was really quiet and hardly a soul around. I came up behind this man (this is mean) but he totally gave me the creeps. I can’t really explain it, but he just didn’t fit in on the trail. I got myself kind of worked up, so I ran pretty fast after passing him (5:25 min/km)
There were some bikers, a few other runners and walkers, but other than that it was a pretty peaceful and quiet run. There were kayakers and lasers on the reservoir, which was neat to see. But I will say that Body Glide let me down. I have the worst chafe marks on the inside of my leg; they hurt. I had to stop several times to adjust my shorts. But the sun was shining, the temperature was great and the new songs I added to my playlist made me pretty well forget about my legs.
Here are todays stats:
Looking forward to a beautiful weekend!
Hope everyone is happy and healthy out there.
O, yeh…fear fueled intervals…glad it was ok, tho.
Do you run in loose legged shorts? Have you ever tried running in a pair of cycling shorts? (You can get them without a chamois) Chaffing sucks…
LOL… definitely fear fueled. The thought of being cut up into a million pieces scared the sh*t out of me! I was running in a pair of tight adidas shorts, and they aren’t short… at all.. but I should probably stick to capris (at least until my legs don’t rub together!)
