Day 176: Speed work on the soccer field

sidewalk chalkLast night I mixed up training and ended up doing 5km (30 mins) of speed work, rather than a 3 mile run.

I headed to the soccer field right by our place and completed 1 minute fast to 2 minutes slow. I don’t think I was as fast as last time, however, I could feel the burn in my lungs. Some of my sprints were great because I knew each time I was going further and further around the field, but by the end of it I was exhausted! I also almost face planted a few times as I tripped through the hay at the end of the unkempt field.

Not too much else to report. Oh yeah, we got snow yesterday. Guess I will have to pack this up for a few weeks yet!
