Today was my first 5 mile run. It went really well, but it was freaking windy. I ran old faithful: home to town. I would like to thank the person in the red Chrysler who narrowly avoided hitting me on the turn. I don’t know what to say other than if I was any further over on the shoulder, I would have been in the lake!
The wind was unreal for most of the run. It was so strong that it blew over trees at my folks place. And of course, I was running against it my entire run today. It wasn’t too bad in the sheltered areas, but anywhere along the water was pretty miserable (and slow going).
Anyway, getting closer and closer to the 10 k mark. YAHOO!
